ABOUT + FAQ
Thank you for visiting my website!
After some time selling my jewelry successfully on Etsy (https://marinettejewelry.etsy.com), I decided to open my own website to introduce a very simple concept: to offer exclusively to my subscribers a different piece of 14K gold jewelry each week at a fantastic price.
My goal is to create pieces that will let you tell your own story and keep your most cherished memories close to your heart.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does it take to receive an order?
It takes me about 2 weeks to have a piece ready to ship, then the shipping takes about 3 days.
How are letters usuakly placed in monograms?
The usual order of letters in a monogram is first name letter / last name letter / middle name letter
Please always write the letters in the exact order you wish them to appear on the monogram.
My order has shipped but I haven't received it yet. What should I do?
Once you have received the shipping notification message, the package should arrive in 2 or 3 days.
You can track the package on FedEx's website with the tracking number provided in the shipping notification message.
You can also call your local FedEx office who will provide assistance.
Please note that I cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, since FedEx requires a signature to deliver the package, so please provide an address where there will be someone to sign off for it.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes, on sterling silver pieces I offer 10% off from 5 pieces ordered, unless a coupon has been used.
If you wish to order multiple sterling silver pieces, please just send me a message, and I will make a special listing for you that includes the discount.
What's the best way to know my ring size?
The best way to know your size is to have it measured by your local jeweler.
Please be aware that if the ring is wide under the finger you need to take a slightly bigger size.
If you plan to order a ring that is wide under the finger, such as a large band, please have your finger measured for that kind of ring.
I have also prepared - just for reference - a PDF file that you may print to check you ring size.
If you do print it out, please read the instructions carefully before using it.
How can I have a better idea of the difference between 16, 18, and 20 inches long?
Please refer to the picture below for a better idea of the difference.
Usually, with an 16 inch chain the top of the pendant would be at the level of the collar bone.
Does the length include the pendant?
No, the length of the pendant needs to be added to the length of the chain.

14k gold and sterling silver can be cleaned with a polishing cloth or jewelry cleaner. Vermeil jewelry requires special care. Although we use the best possible plating on sterling silver, it is natural for it to wear over time. The best way to clean and care for vermeil is to buff very gently with a 100% cotton cloth or microfiber cloth. Never use chemical cleaners on 18k gold vermeil jewelry. Chlorine will damage vermeil, and you should remove jewelry before applying perfumes and lotions, bathing, or getting into a pool or hot tub.
Although we use the best possible plating on sterling silver, it is natural for it to wear over time. How long will the plating last on your jewelry depends on a wide variety of factors, among which:
- whether you live in a coastal area
- your type of skin
- how often you wear the jewelry
- the use of cosmetic products
- whether the piece is exposed to water
- how well it is kept when it isn't being worn
The fact is that silver jewelry will tarnish sooner or later, and that any plating will eventually wear off. A piece that begins to tarnish after a year would be normal.
Only solid gold can avoid this problem (although even 14K or 18K gold can slightly tarnish, since it contains alloys).
Please bear in mind that if you live by the sea I do not advise you to wear gold plated jewelry.
